This book covers what is in many ways one of the most outstandingly creative periods of Ferran Adria’s elbulli. That is not to say the other eras covered in the other 5 volumes are not equally impressive or creative, it’s just that around this period the restaurant began attracting real international acclaim and was on the brink of establishing Ferran Adria as a legendary chef and his restaurant as being an iconic destination which attracted pilgrims from all over the world.

Each of the elbulli books is meant to give you a glimpse inside the world’s best restaurants (having received that title in 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009). They are in no way cookbooks in the traditional sense of providing recipes which you can follow – unless you are a professional chef with great technical knowledge and an extraordinary kitchen at your disposal. However whether you are a professional chef or just an avid fine dining restaurant fan, this is an impressive and beautiful addition to your book collection, filled with captivating photos, recipes and most of all an insight in to the spirit and philosophies of elbulli.
