Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic is an award-winning Designer, Calligrapher and Creative Director of the New York and London based label Earnest Endeavours. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina; Mestrovic is a graduate of both PRATT Institute and TEMPLE University of Japan, and has lived and worked in New York and Tokyo.
He has collaborated extensively with KANYE WEST and his creative team and worked with the legendary Parisian fashion house KENZO, most recently for their Paris Fashion Week runway show. He has exhibited in New York, Tokyo, London, Miami Art Basel and was chosen by Beck’s to introduce a new Artist Series collaboration alongside five other creative luminaries, including M.I.A. He was named by the UK’s Dazed & Confused Magazine as a Top Young Creative in 2010 whilst showing at Deitch Project’s spinoff gallery, The Hole NYC, and has also collaborated with contemporary art icon Jeff Koons & Kiehls.
Lex has recently made his directorial debut and directed an award-winning short-film, Scriptura Vitae, for the UK’s Channel 4 as part of the Random Acts arts program which has featured work by directors such as James Franco and Damien Hirst. The film was recently awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick and stars famed Japanese Actress Miho Nikaido, best known for her role in the cult-classic film “Tokyo Decadence” and features original music by Grammy-Nominated producer Diplo.
Aerosyn-Lex was recently honored and awarded a Rising Star as part of the Top 40 Alumni from the prestigious Pratt Institute.
Aerosyn-Lex has collaborated with Kitchen Theory for the Kaiseki pop-up dining series, in which his file ‘Scriptura Vitae’ video commissioned by Channel 4 is screened, see the trailer below.
