We have delivered corporate dining experiences in the USA as well as corporate dining experiences in Saudi Arabia, adapting our methodology to respect cultural nuance while maintaining the multisensory rigour that defines Kitchen Theory. In the corporate dining experiences in the USA we drew on experiences characterised by innovation, gall and flair that echo the pace of American business; in our corporate dining experiences in Saudi Arabia, we evoked signification, hospitality ritual and sumptuous sensory design in keeping with perceptions of luxury and culture, demonstrating that we can interpret and, make for corporate dining for any region, audience and purpose.

At the heart of our work is the science of multisensory perception. Working with principles from psychology, neuroscience and sensory research, we study how the brain constructs flavour and how environmental ‘fragments’ conspire to create a bias in the emotional response. Sound, colour, texture, aroma, temperature, visual rhythm, each of these components shape the way a dish is perceived. Through designing for the orchestrated ‘tide’ of taste, we create dining experiences that undercut expectation and catalyse new modes of thinking. For guests this becomes an evening that surprises and entertains but moreover leaves them with a strong sense of how perception works and how easily it is affected by intent by design. For brands, it becomes an unprecedented means to communicate identity, ideas and values through experience.
