EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY; A G-ASTRONOMY PROJECT
Just under a year ago, we began working on a collaborative project entitled g-Astronomy. Since then, we have participated at several events including: the Science Museum Lates, Imperial College Festival, and the Cheltenham Science Festival.
Most recently, we have been working on a project for the European Space Agency to mark the completion of the Rosetta mission, which is a space probe that spent two years performing a detailed study of the Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Our head chef of development, Stefano de Costanzo, took up the challenge of making 2000 miniature replicas of the comet for the ESA. The below is a short video showing the process;
Kitchen Theory extends its thanks to: Mattias Malmer for design and the development of the moulds; Roberto Trotta for introducing us to the ESA and liaising on the project; Mark McCaughrean for giving us the opportunity to work on such a unique project.
